Sometimes, things in your past seem to be holding you back. Perhaps you just aren’t happy but you can’t figure out why because everything in your life seems ok. Maybe the stress and uncertainty of life is making it difficult to function and act like nothing is wrong.

Maybe you are struggling with the religion that you were brought up in. Whether you still go to church or not, you are trying to figure out how you feel about the things you were taught. You may not consider anything that you have been through to be trauma or traumatic. That does not mean that your experience would not be considered spiritual abuse or religious trauma by a trained professional.

It could be that you are contemplating a breakup or going through a divorce and feel devastated. You may feel broken, like you just can’t continue living with this pain. Your life might feel like it’s over now that the relationship is over – but it doesn’t have to be. You can get through this loss and not just survive but thrive.

You may have difficult relationships with your family of origin, friends, boss, or others that you would like to improve but are unsure how to start.

Talking through what you are feeling with a trained professional can help more than most people realize! I am also trained in specialties that go beyond simple talk therapy.
Don’t let fear or shame keep you from the life that you deserve.

I am an LGBTQIA affirming therapist who believes that who you are should not effect your access to mental health treatment. I believe in creating a non-judgmental atmosphere where all are accepted! That includes not only LGBTQ+ people but also those who identify as non-monogamous, those in polyamorous relationships, and those in the kink/BDSM community. I am also neurodivergence affirming, body positive, a feminist, and supportive of sex workers.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2011. I began my career in mental health working with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Mississippi, an education and advocacy focused non-profit.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Social Services from Belhaven University and a Master’s in Social Work from Jackson State University, where I graduated with honors. I finished clinical supervision to obtain my LCSW in October 2019 and started in private practice soon thereafter. I have many post-graduate trainings including EMDR, IFS, and in treating Religious Trauma and Spiritual Abuse.
