More on Me

I am passionate about helping my clients become inspired to create happier, healthier lives!

Currently I see individuals age 14 and older for counseling at Inspired Happiness Therapy in Ridgeland, MS. I also see clients anywhere in the state of Mississippi for secure, online video (telehealth) sessions.
To see if I am accepting new clients and to schedule an appointment with me visit the Appointments page or contact the office.

I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who believes that who you are should not effect your access to mental health treatment. I believe in creating a non-judgmental atmosphere where all are accepted! That includes not only LGBTQ+ people but also those who identify as non-monogamous, those in polyamorous relationships, and those in the kink/BDSM community. I am also neurodivergent affirming, health at every size (HAES) body positive, a feminist, and supportive of sex workers.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2011.
I began my career in mental health working with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Mississippi, an education and advocacy focused non-profit.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Social Services from Belhaven University and a Master of Social Work from Jackson State University, where I graduated with honors. I finished clinical supervision to obtain my LCSW in October 2019 and started working in private practice soon thereafter. I have post-graduate education in various subjects, including training in EMDR, IFS, and treating Religious Trauma and Spiritual Abuse.

I enjoy working with LGBT and neurodivergent clients, probably because I am queer and was late diagnosed with ADHD myself.

I live in Ridgeland, Mississippi with my two rescue dogs, my spouse, and his Jack Russell terrier. I enjoy reading and writing about relationships, communication, and emotional health. My favorite audiobooks are memoirs and psychological thrillers. I like to spend my free time listening to podcasts, creating tie dye art, and gardening both indoors and outdoors. I also like hiking and just spending time in nature; traveling; binge-watching sitcoms; and everything related to music.
